Friday, August 13th, come join East Side Mini Open and the Austin Facial Hair Club for a 3hr “adult oriented” cruise along Lady Bird Lake and experience one of Austin’s most iconic sights: The Congress Avenue Bridge Bats!

An estimated 1.5 million Mexican free-tailed bats live under the Congress Avenue Bridge. It is truly a magnificent sight seeing these wonderful creatures fly out from under the bridge at sunset. There’s a reason these flying mammals are on every single Austin “Must do” list, and now you can see why, with us as your hairy guides!

Sign in to the manifest at 6:30 PM at the boat, the MV Pride and Joy. Our cruise will leave the dock at 7:00 PM sharp!

The boat has tables and chairs (and a bathroom) downstairs, and open deck upstairs for a great view of the city and the bats.

We will have a few sample holes on board to get you warmed up for the East Side Mini Open, taking place on and around East 6th Street Saturday August 14th. Putters and balls will be provided for the boat event.

The Cruise Ship will depart from the docks below the Hyatt Regency on Town Lake. Parking in the area is limited. The city parking lot at the corner of S. 1st St. and Barton Springs Road is now a pay lot. Please be careful where you park!

Any proceeds made from the ticket sales at this event will go to Bully Ranch, a local non-profit focused on the rehabilitation and rehoming of Bully breeds previously traumatized by evil humans forcing them to fight and/or suffer other abuses
